Frequently Asked Questions

How can I enroll?

Enrollment is simple. Please send us at e-mail by using the “Contact Us” link to schedule a quick phone referral & inquiry to determine suitability, verify insurance, and obtain in-take forms. If we are not able to provide the services you need, then we will refer you to another community-based behavioral health provider. Once enrollment forms are received, an in-take coordinator will contact you to schedule an initial consultation with your therapist within 24-hours of submission.

How long is treatment?

HW&S uses an individualized treatment care approach to create a customized treatment plan that both you and your therapist will work on. Treatment plans are established to guide you towards reaching specific goals that are designed to enhance your overall functionality and well-being. Progress within treatment is constantly evaluated and treatment plans can be modified every 3-6 months. While the length of time in treatment can vary and are based upon several factors, HW&S offers weekly to bi-weekly individual psycho-therapy sessions for up to 60 minutes per session.

Do you take insurance?

Currently, HW&S accepts the following insurance carriers

  • Maryland Medicaid
  • Blue Cross & Blue Shield
  • Cigna

Consumers will be required to verify insurance type and coverage before initial consultation to avoid any out-of-pocket costs. A fee for service scale can be offered to any consumer who would like to self-pay. To see fee-for-service scales, please speak with the in-take coordinator during initial consultation.
